The Phatwater Kayak Challenge is a kayak and canoe race that takes place every year on the second Saturday of October. Kayakers and canoers race 42.5 miles down the mighty Mississippi starting at Grand Gulf early in the morning, and finishing at Natchez Under-the-Hill.
