Holly Hedges
Holly Hedges
Holly Hedges was one of the earliest homes built in the developing City of Natchez, circa 1796, when John Scott, a carpenter at the Spanish fort, was granted the property with the stipulation that he allow no bull fighting in the side yard. To this day you won't find any bulls in the yard, but you will find a formal garden with the unique configuration of shrubs in the design of the British Flag. Famed decorator, Earl Hart Miller, purchased the home in the 1950's and brought back the elegant home we see today. Guests will find her furnishings luxurious and her convenient location in the center of downtown ideal for walking to surrounding shops, restaurants and the bluff.
