Natchez Celebrates the Blooms!
Sip & See Stroll in the Go-Cup District
The GAZEBO or BANDSTAND on Broadway Street is a 20th-century replica of a 19th-century structure and sets the mood for a walk along our famous "open container" area of historic downtown. Looking from the bluff toward town, the visitor sees streets that form a grid. These are the same streets that were laid out by the Spanish when they rules Natchez in the 18th century. Directly in front of the gazebo in the side garden of BONTURA, c. 1851, is the largest crepe myrtle in Mississippi. As you continue along Broadway, you can view the more than 200 white Natchez Crepe Myrtles that were planted when the walking trails were established in the early part of the century.
There are opportunities for libations as you stroll along Broadway.
